Day 1: Suzhou
In the morning our guide will pick you up at your hotel. Visit the famous Lingering Garden and Pan Gate. After lunch, we will arrange you a cruise tour along the Grand Canal. Then visit the No.1 Silk Factory in Suzhou.
Lingering Garden is one of the four most famous gardens in China. The garden was first built in the 21st year of the reign of Wanli (1593) by Xu Taishi as his private residence.
The Grand Canal ranks alongside the Great Wall of China as the country's greatest engineering achievement and it is the longest man-made waterway in world. Cruising on the Canal, you can see the local peoples' life.
Pan Gate is an ancient city gate with land and water entrances. Once, a gate with land and water entrances was quite typical in ancient China. However, Pan Gate is the only one left.
Day 2: Suzhou-Zhouzhuang
In the morning our guide will pick you up at your hotel. After 1 hour driving, you will arrive in Zhouzhou Ancient Water Town, the so called Oriental Venice. Have a full day visit in Zhouzhuang. Be driven back to your hotel before night.
Zhouzhuang is a popular tourist destination. It is one of the most famous water townships in China, noted for its profound cultural background, the well preserved ancient residential houses, the elegant watery views and the strong local colored traditions and customs. It has been called the "Venice of the East".
Day 3: Suzhou
In the morning, you visit the Humble Administrator's Garden and Garden of the Master of the Nets. After lunch, you will take a rickshaw visit the Suzhou Hutong. Be driven back to your hotel. See off.
Humble Administrator's Garden: Covering 51,950 sq.m, the Humble Administrator's Garden is the largest of all classical gardens in Suzhou. The garden is representative of Chinese classical gardens in the Ming Dynasty, which are focused on a central pond with pavilions, terraces, chambers, and towers located nearby.
Garden of the Master of the Nets is the smallest garden in Suzhou covering a space of only 5000 sq meters. The small space is its greatest charm as it encompasses all the elements of a classic Chinese garden within close boundaries.
